Baseball Camp

Westminster Academy’s Summer Baseball Camp offers excellent instruction in a safe, fun, and competitive environment to players of all ages and ability levels. Players will be divided into small groups based on age and ability, thus ensuring personalized and individualized instruction.

The camp will cover the following areas:

  • Hitting (rotational vs. linear)
  • Fielding (footwork, arm action)
  • Pitching (full mechanical analysis)
  • Base Running (leads, jumps, angles)
  • Conditional/Strength Training
  • Injury Prevention/Arm Care

Baseball Camp Information

  • Open to children ages 5 to 14
  • Session 1: June 12–16 (9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.) $225
  • Session 2: June 19–23 (9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.) $225
  • Sibling Discount: $30 off (please contact Coach James for the code)

Camp Location and Facility

Baseball Camp will take place at Westminster Academy’s state-of-the-art west campus Athletic Complex in Lauderdale Lakes. This baseball facility is widely considered to be one of the top high school baseball facilities in the nation. It offers two high school fields, six full batting cages,  three professional bullpen mounds, along with a locker room and clubhouse.

Staff

WA Baseball Head Coach, Coach Nick James, pitched at the Division I level at James Madison University from 1996–2000. He was a three-time all CAA Scholar-Athlete and possesses both a B.A. and an M.A.T. in English Literature. After college, he became a teacher and coach, and has enjoyed great success for nearly a decade. His high school and USSSA travel teams have competed and won at the local, state, and national levels. He has helped over 30 players sign NCAA athletic scholarships. Along with Coach James, the WA Baseball Camp will feature WA varsity assistants, professional coaches/instructors, and current NCAA collegiate baseball players.
