Softball Camp

Westminster Academy’s Summer Softball Camp offers excellent instruction in a safe, fun, and competitive environment. The camp is located at our state-of-the-art west campus Athletic Complex.

The camp will cover the following areas:

  • Proper Throwing Mechanics
  • Fielding
  • Hitting (including the short game)
  • Pitching and Catching
  • Base Running (leads, jumps, and angles)
  • Position Work (infield and outfield)

Summer Camp Information:

  • June 11th – 15th (9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. for ages 7 to 15) $225

Staff

Coach Casey Jarvis, WA Softball Head Coach, played at the Division II level at Palm Beach Atlantic University from 2004-2008. Casey was a four-year collegiate and high school starter as a pitcher, shortstop, and centerfielder. She was an All-State and All-Conference selection in high school and an NCAA Division II Independent All-American in college. After college, she began coaching at WA and has cultivated a positive and competitive program.

Coach Ellen Radandt-Stremler is currently the head softball coach at Wheaton College in Illinois where she played from 2012-2016.  She also served as an assistant coach at Hope College from 2016-2017.  While at Wheaton she was a two time All-CCIW selection during her Wheaton playing career.  She earned First Team All-CCIW honors in 2015 and Second Team recognition in 2016.  She started every game for Wheaton’s 2016 team that established a new school record with 32 victories, won the program’s first CCIW Softball Tournament title and earned Wheaton’s first NCAA Division III Tournament selection in softball.

Along with Coach Jarvis and Coach Stremler, the WA Softball Camp will feature current NCAA collegiate softball players and current WA varsity softball players.
